   MyFitControl ("we", "us", "the App") is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

   
   

2. Data We Collect

   We collect the following categories of data when you use the App:

   
   

   • Account data: name, email address, encrypted password.

   • Workout data: workouts, exercises, sets, reps, weights, rest times, session logs.

   • Body & health data: body weight and body-part measurements you choose to log.

   • Location data: with your permission, GPS location collected only during an active outdoor cardio workout (e.g., running or walking) to calculate distance. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings.

   • Device & technical data: device type, operating system, app version, and a push-notification token used to send reminders and messages.

   • Preferences: app settings and unit preferences.

     
     

3. How We Use Your Data

   Your data is used to:

   
   

   • Provide and personalise the App experience

   • Store your workout history and progress

   • Send account-related emails (password reset, confirmation) and notifications you enable

   • Process your subscription

   • Improve the App's features and performance

     
     

4. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA/UK)

   Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process your data: to perform our contract with you (providing the App), with your consent (e.g., location, optional analytics, marketing), to comply with legal obligations, and for our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service. Because workout and body-measurement data can be health-related, we process it on the basis of your explicit consent. You may withdraw consent at any time.

   
   

5. Data Sharing
   We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not share it for third-party marketing. We share data only with service providers that help us operate MyFitControl, under appropriate data-processing agreements:

   
   

   • Supabase — secure database hosting and authentication

   • Stripe — subscription payments. We never see or store your full card details; payments are processed by Stripe under its own privacy policy.

   • Apple and Google — app distribution and push-notification delivery

     
     We may also disclose data where required by law.

     
     

6. Data Storage & Security

   Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use Supabase as our backend provider, which implements enterprise-grade security measures.

   
   

7. International Data Transfers
   Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country, including in the European Union and the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland.

   
   

8. Your Rights
   You have the right to access, correct, delete, and export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights:

   
   

   • EEA/UK (GDPR): access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

   • Canada (PIPEDA): access to and correction of your personal information.

   • Brazil (LGPD): confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymization, portability, and deletion.

   • California (CCPA/CPRA): the right to know, delete, and correct your information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell your data).

     
     

     To exercise any right, contact us at support@myfitcontrol.com or delete your account directly in the App.

9. Data Retention
   We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently delete all associated personal data within 30 days.

   
   

10. Cookies & Analytics
    The App does not use tracking cookies. We may collect anonymized, aggregated usage statistics to improve the App. This data cannot be used to identify you personally. (See our Cookie Policy for details about the website.)

    
    

11. Children's Privacy
    The App is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

    
    

12. Changes to This Policy
    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email.
